Delete Your Account & Data

You can ask us to permanently remove your OfficeBlink account and the personal data we hold about you. This page explains how to submit the request, what gets deleted, and what we are legally required to retain.

How to Submit a Deletion Request

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line Account & Data Deletion Request. Include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your OfficeBlink account
  • Your organisation name (if you are an employee on a company account)
  • Whether the request includes the OfficeBlink mobile app

We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. We may verify your identity before processing.

What we delete

  • Your account profile and login credentials
  • Contact information you provided
  • Mobile app device tokens and push subscriptions
  • In-app messages, notes, and personal preferences
  • Marketing preferences and communication history
  • Non-essential analytics linked to your identity

What we may have to retain

Certain records cannot be erased immediately because applicable law requires us to keep them. Where this applies, we restrict all other processing to the minimum necessary.

  • Payroll & tax records — up to 7 years (Ghana Revenue Authority)
  • SSNIT contribution records — up to 10 years (SSNIT Act 1991)
  • Statutory employment records — up to 7 years (Labour Act 2003)
  • Financial transaction records required for audit

From the OfficeBlink mobile app

You can also start a deletion request directly from the app:

  1. Open the OfficeBlink mobile app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete my account.
  3. Confirm the request. We will email you to verify and finalise the deletion.

Enterprise & employer-managed accounts

If your OfficeBlink account was provisioned by your employer, payroll and HR records are owned by that employer as the data controller. We will forward your request to your employer’s administrator. For full tenant deletion at the end of a contract, the customer’s account owner should email [email protected]. Tenant data is permanently deleted within 90 days of contract end, unless retention is required by law.

How we verify the request

To prevent unauthorised deletion, we confirm requests from the email address on file and may ask for additional proof of identity. Deletion is irreversible once completed.
